Fidium is the fiber internet brand of the company formerly called Consolidated Communications, which moved its residential, business and wholesale lines under the Fidium name in September 2025. The consumer brand launched in 2021, and since December 2024 the company has been privately owned by affiliates of Searchlight Capital Partners and British Columbia Investment Management.
Fidium says it offers fiber in more than 700 communities across 8 states, including Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont; that is provider-reported coverage, not an address check. Addresses without Fidium Fiber may still have older Consolidated service, and in September 2025 the company said it aimed to bring fiber to more than 80 percent of its footprint within a few years.
Fidium's site, checked September 23, 2026, lists symmetrical tiers from 100 Mbps to 2 Gig plus 8 Gig plans, unlimited data, no contracts, and its gateway or your own equipment. FCC data as of December 31, 2025 shows Fidium and Breezeline both reporting service in 29 of the same census places.
