Midco is the brand of Midcontinent Communications, a Midwest internet, TV and phone company that says it grew from a movie theater and South Dakota's first TV station into high-speed internet. Its network mixes cable and fiber: midco.com, checked September 23, 2026, advertises Midco Fiber at up to 5 gig, and FCC filings show licensed fixed wireless in parts of Minnesota and the Dakotas.
Midco says it serves more than 400,000 customers in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas and Wisconsin, and its FCC filings as of December 31, 2025 cover the same five states; both are reported coverage, not address checks. It also advertises no data caps, no contracts, a 3-Year Price Lock and Plume-powered Midco Wi-Fi equipment at no extra cost, returned on cancellation.
In FCC data, CenturyLink parent Lumen also reports service in most of Sioux Falls, Fargo, Bismarck and Rapid City, and Sparklight in most of Fargo. Midco compares its fiber with 5G home internet, the fixed wireless type T-Mobile and Verizon sell.
