What is Sparklight internet?
Sparklight is the consumer internet brand of Cable One, Inc., a Phoenix, Arizona company traded on the NYSE as CABO, which began rebranding from Cable ONE to Sparklight in the summer of 2019 while keeping Cable One as its corporate name. Sparklight internet is powered by fiber and reaches homes over a coaxial connection, or over fiber where available, so it is mainly a cable network.
Cable One says it serves about 1 million residential and business customers across 24 states; that is provider-reported coverage, not an address check. Sparklight's internet page, as captured February 2, 2026, advertised no-contract plans, unlimited data on most plans and a leased modem with eero Wi-Fi, with equipment billed separately on most plans. In December 2021 Cable One bought CableAmerica's central Missouri operations, and its 2021 annual report says acquired systems generally move to Sparklight within three years.
Spectrum and Mediacom deliver internet the same way, over fiber connected to the premises by coaxial lines.
