WideOpenWest, Inc. is the company behind the WOW! internet brand, and funds affiliated with DigitalBridge and Crestview Partners completed their take-private acquisition of it on December 31, 2025, ending its public stock listing. It sells internet, cable TV, home phone, mobile phone and business services in 20 markets across Michigan, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida, and its FCC filings as of December 31, 2025 list exactly those six states; both are reported coverage, not address checks.
Most customers connect through a cable modem, WOW!'s or their own compatible one, while WOW! fiber uses a professionally installed Fiber Terminal for symmetrical service. The WOW! home page, checked September 24, 2026, says there are no contracts, customers can cancel anytime, data is unlimited with no caps, and a Wi-Fi modem is included. In Huntsville and Madison, Alabama, both WOW! and Google Fiber advertise fiber service, though WOW! says availability varies street to street.
