AT&T can offer different internet technologies at different San Antonio addresses. AT&T Fiber is a wired fiber-to-the-home service with symmetrical speed tiers where built. AT&T Internet Air is fixed wireless service over its 5G network for eligible locations. An address may qualify for one, both or neither; a city or ZIP result cannot choose the product for a household.

|---|---|---|
| AT&T Fiber | Dedicated fiber connection where the network is built | Exact address, available 300 Mbps through multigig tiers, symmetrical upload, installation and written promotion |
| AT&T Internet Air | Fixed wireless connection using AT&T's cellular network and an indoor gateway | Address eligibility, local signal and congestion terms, included gateway, total bill and any wireless-bundle condition |
AT&T's public national Fiber page currently advertises a first-year 1 Gig promotion for eligible new customers, with AutoPay, paperless billing, taxes and fees conditions. It also shows 300 Mbps, 500 Mbps and higher tiers. That national display is not a San Antonio quote. Check AT&T plans at your exact address and read the final order before comparing a price with another provider.
How to compare AT&T with other San Antonio options
If AT&T Fiber and gFiber both qualify, compare the actual price, equipment, upload speed and speed tier in their written offers. gFiber's current public products are Core 1 Gig, Home 3 Gig and Edge 8 Gig; its old 2 and 5 Gig labels may remain on existing accounts. See AT&T versus gFiber and the current gFiber guide.
If Fiber does not reach your property, compare Internet Air with wired Spectrum and any other qualified options. A fixed wireless offer can be useful where wiring is unavailable, but performance depends on the local radio network. AT&T says Internet Air service may be slowed temporarily when usage contributes to congestion. Our San Antonio internet guide helps organize the local choices; provider qualification still controls.
Three checks before ordering
- Enter the full street address and unit, then write down whether AT&T offers Fiber, Internet Air or another technology.
- Open the broadband label and order summary. Record the base monthly rate, discount duration, required AutoPay and paperless billing, taxes, installation, equipment and any optional WiFi add-ons.
- Compare the same billing period with another address-qualified provider. Do not compare a first-year AT&T promotion with another provider's full-rate bill without noting the difference.
Questions readers ask
Does AT&T Fiber cover all of San Antonio?
No. Fiber is built street by street and may vary by building or unit.
Is Internet Air the same as fiber?
No. Internet Air is fixed wireless service over AT&T's mobile network; its availability and performance terms differ from Fiber.
What is the best AT&T speed in San Antonio?
Start with the tiers available at the actual address and your household's simultaneous use. Most homes do not need to pay for multigig service just for streaming.
