Compare the right plan

GFiber products differ by market. Check the current Core, Home and Edge choices at your address; existing customers may still have earlier 2 Gig or 5 Gig plans.

Core, Home and Edge

GFiber advertises Core 1 Gig at $70/month, Home 3 Gig at $100/month and Edge 8 Gig at $150/month in markets offering these products. Compare the included WiFi equipment and installation options, then confirm the products offered at your address.

Existing plans

GFiber says some existing customers still hold its previous 1, 2, 5 or 8 Gig plans. A previous plan name or price does not establish what a new customer can buy in your market.

Google Fiber plans at a glance

Google Fiber, which its site now calls gFiber, lists three internet plans: Core 1 Gig, Home 3 Gig and Edge 8 Gig. Google Fiber says its 1 Gig and 3 Gig products have upload and download speeds up to 1 and 3 gigabits per second, that 8 Gig offers symmetrical 8 gigabit speeds, and that latency is typically 13 milliseconds. It says the service runs on a pure fiber-optic network, with no data caps, overage charges or speed throttling. Listed by Google Fiber (2026-10-08): service in metro areas across several states, including but not limited to Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Washington. Listed by Google Fiber (2026-10-08): plans and some features may not be available in all locations; which plans are offered, and at what price, depends on your address.

  • Listed prices: Listed by Google Fiber on its internet page and FAQ (checked 2026-10-08, no address entered): Core 1 Gig at $70 a month, Home 3 Gig at $100 a month and Edge 8 Gig at $150 a month. Google Fiber says every plan includes installation, Wi-Fi, a mesh-ready router and unlimited data, all without extra fees. It says it does not use promotional pricing and that its 1 Gig internet has stayed at $70 since its launch in 2012. These are Google Fiber’s own listed prices, not a quote, and pricing varies by address; Google Fiber says taxes and local access fees are extra.
  • Contract and fees: Google Fiber’s FAQ says you can cancel at any time, with no annual contract commitments and no early termination fees. Its FAQ and broadband-label page say customers who cancel and do not return equipment within 60 days must pay a replacement fee.
  • Wi-Fi and equipment: Google Fiber says it includes a Wi-Fi 6E router with up to one extender as needed on the Core plan, and a Wi-Fi 7 multi-gig router with up to two on the Home and Edge plans; you can connect your own router instead. Google Fiber says more extenders may be needed for whole-home coverage, at an additional charge. Its plan cards each offer self setup or a free professional install.
  • Extras by plan: Google Fiber says Internet Battery Backup powers your main connection for up to 2 hours in an outage, but not extenders; it comes with Edge 8 Gig and costs $10 a month on Home 3 Gig. Edge 8 Gig also carries a 99.9% Uptime Guarantee, and Google Fiber’s pages describe the remedy two ways: its FAQ says eligible customers get a credit of 25% of their monthly recurring charge if 99.9% uptime is not met, while its internet page describes a 25% refund on the month’s bill if the internet is down for more than 45 minutes; conditions apply.

What is Google Fiber?

Google Fiber, also branded gFiber, is a fiber-to-the-home internet provider founded in 2010 and owned by Alphabet Inc. Google Fiber's site, checked September 23, 2026, lists three plans, Core 1 Gig, Home 3 Gig and Edge 8 Gig, each with equal upload and download speeds. Google Fiber says it serves 19 states, from Alabama and Arizona to Utah and Washington, but service is built city by city within them; that is provider-reported coverage, not an address check.

Konecteaze's market list, reviewed August 24, 2026, treats Oakland, San Diego, San Francisco, Denver, Miami, Chicago and Seattle as places where service depends on the building or address. Google Fiber's site also advertises no contracts, no data caps and free professional installation, with Wi-Fi and a mesh-ready router included; equipment must be returned within 60 days of canceling.

In FCC data as of December 31, 2025, AT&T reports service in 173 of the 175 census places where Google does, and Xfinity and Spectrum appear in 95 and 81.
